Introduction
Following the appeal made during the last General Assembly in Merano, Italy, we are delighted to announce that Porto has been selected as the host city for the 2026 General Assembly of the European and Mediterranean Horseracing Federation. We embrace this responsibility with pride and a strong sense of purpose, and are fully committed to preparing a reception that reflects the significance of this gathering.
For the LPTG, this Assembly represents a unique opportunity to reciprocate the support and trust that the EMHF has shown us over the years as an active member of the Federation. It is also a strategic moment to strengthen our role as an engaged and participative partner within the European horseracing landscape, contributing constructively to dialogue and to the future of the sector.

The city of Porto will have the honour of hosting Portugal’s 1st International Horse Betting Summit on 10 July 2026, bringing together national and international experts and decision-makers.
On 11 and 12 July, the EMHF General Assembly will take place, with the participation of the leaders of the 24 Associations that comprise this prestigious institution, underscoring the European horseracing community’s commitment to dialogue, collaboration and excellence.
