HORSE
BETTING SUMMIT

PORTO - PORTUGAL

The EMHF, part of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA), is a key organisation that unites 24 countries from Europe and the Mediterranean region.

Its primary mandate is to:
> Develop relationships and coordinate the promotion of the sector;
> Uphold the integrity and prestige of the region’s horse racing globally;
> Represent its members before the IFHA.

Portugal, a member of the European and Mediterranean Horseracing Federation (EMHF) since June 2010, is honoured to host the General Assembly of this prestigious institution on 11 and 12 July 2026.
Taking advantage of the presence in Portugal of representatives from the principal international organisations associated with horseracing, the Portuguese Trotting and Galloping League will organise a technical meeting on 10 July 2026 in Porto: Portugal’s 1st Summit on Betting in Horseracing.

The main objective of this event is to foster discussion and coordination on matters directly related to both territorial and non-territorial horse betting in Portugal.
The Summit specifically aims to:
• Foster closer relations and the exchange of strategic information between national and international stakeholders.
• Analyse the initial developments and growth potential of this sector in Portugal.
We are convinced that this meeting represents a unique opportunity to share experiences and align perspectives in a sector still in its early stages of development in Portugal, and we sincerely hope to count on your presence.
